Database Management Online Training Lab
(with optional Power Substitution component)

Summary:
The Accubid Database Management training lab was designed to equip database custodians with the skills and knowledge to competently manage their company databases efficiently and effectively. The instructional method is unique in that it is conducted privately either on a one-to-one or one-to-many basis with a dedicated trainer via the internet. This unique web-based approach offers tremendous advantage in its flexibility and relevance to participants. The course is comprised of five modules in its entirety. Participants who wish to acquire basic skills need only take the first three modules. The remaining two modules comprise the power substitution option and should be taken by those participants that wish to cover power substitutions in greater depth.

Participants are encouraged to use their company databases during instruction to afford them maximum benefits.

Learning Objectives—Database Fundamentals
(Modules 1 -3)

Upon successful completion of training, participants will be able to:
  • Understand the structure of the item database, common assembly database, designation, and specialized takeoff libraries.
  • Effectively create and modify items, common assemblies, and takeoff libraries.
  • Competently create, save, and run database queries.
  • Create, save, and apply screen styles.
  • Effectively create, save, modify, and assign sort codes to items.
  • Describe and demonstrate methods for updating material pricing in databases.

Should have good familiarity and working knowledge in the Windows environment.
